Respite Care

Respite care is the provision of short-term, temporary assistance to those who are caring for family members.

Energize Care can provide a planned programme of care visits, for a few hours through to a few weeks for families and those providing unpaid care.

Even though many families take great joy in providing care to their loved ones so that they can stay at home, the physical, emotional and financial consequences for the family caregiver can be overwhelming without some support such as respite.

Respite provides that family caregiver a much needed temporary break from the often exhausting challenges faced. Giving the caregiver an opportunity to take a break/holiday and relax to give them the energy when they are back.

Respite has been shown to help sustain family caregiver, with health and wellbeing benefits.

This is where Energize Care can help as we will provide this care with one of our highly trained members acting on your behalf whilst you take a well earned break.

Care can be provided throughout the night for those clients who require it. This service can be offered in two ways the first would be a ‘sleeper night’ basis where the care worker expects a reasonable night’s sleep but is on hand for emergencies and the second service is a ‘waking night’ service where the care worker is on duty throughout the night.
